Chimichurri

Hot Boston Firefighter’s Chimichurri (fka Jason Babb’s Chimichurri)

½ cup extra virgin olive oil or more if desired 

½ tbsp red wine vinegar 

½ tbsp fresh lemon juice 

1 bunch of flat leaf parsley 

2 tbsp chopped cilantro or oregano

cloves garlic

or

combination of 1 clove of garlic and ¼ bunch garlic chives 

1 tsp salt plus more if needed

¼ tsp chile flakes or 1 Thai chili 

  1. Add oil, vinegar and lemon juice to the bowl of a blender.

  2. Add ½ of the herbs and puree until smooth.

  3. Add remaining ingredients and puree until smooth. Adjust for both salt and spiciness as desired.
